Sally Inja Kim, MD

Dr. Kim has been a practicing ophthalmic surgeon since 1992 and performs various eye procedures using the latest innovations and technology.

Dr. Kim received her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco Medical School. She then completed her residency at the University of California, Irvine in Internal Medicine and then completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the University of California, Irvine where she was the Chief Resident in Ophthalmology. Dr. Kim is board-certified in Ophthalmology and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Kim is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, a member of the American Medical Association, a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and a member of the California Academy of Ophthalmology.

Improving quality of life through vision

As we reach age 40 and beyond, we begin to lose our ability to see up close. With biological aging, we develop cataracts, and other health problems such as diabetes begin to impact our vision as well. This causes our daily life to be disrupted—reading, playing golf, driving, and simply making most of everyday life. By applying the latest technology, I have the privilege of making an impact on patients' lives by helping to restore their vision. 

Improved vision opens the door to new possibilities for patients. Following cataract surgery, patients can now drive without the aid of glasses, and patients can use their cell phone to text their friends and grandchildren, read a cookbook, apply make-up better, or pinpoint a faraway golf ball. I strive to support my patients to help them achieve clearer vision. I look forward to building lifelong relationships with my patients and helping to improve their quality of life through vision.
